We have information for two possibilities, either a fast or scenic route.
A16 to Abbeville (toll road): A28 towards Rouen (non-toll): A28 j11 join A29 (toll road), cross Pont de Normandie (toll): join A13 to Caen (toll): A84 to Rennes (non-toll).
Take the ring road N136 'SUD' round Rennes for Nantes, and then the N137 (exit 6a) towards Nantes.
About 20 mins south of Rennes, take the exit for Derval (next one after Grand Fougeray). Follow directions into Derval centre, and turn right to Guémené Penfao D775. This is a straighter route but you could take the directions for Guémené from the dual carriageway turn off, which is rural and pretty.
At Guémené, take the D775 straight on towards Redon, for about 7-8 mins, until you come to La Ville en Pierre (halfway to Redon). This is a crossroads, with Avessac to your right and Plessé to your left. Take the left towards Plessé D131, and after 2 or 3 minutes you come to a crossroads with your 'STOP'.
At this crossroads turn right towards Fégréac D124 (left is Guémené, straight on is Plessé) and take the second exit on your left (small crossroads) marked La Roche Buttée with a new chalet on the corner. Go to the top of the lane and on the first bend is us. Take the driveway to the right-hand-side of the house.
Time = 6 hrs 45 mins, including short stops. Tolls were €21.10 (2005)
approx 7 hrs by picking up the A13 from Rouen to Caen (toll), after transiting through Rouen but missing the Pont de Normandie.

Take the same directions above as far as joining the A28 to Rouen: approaching Rouen go through tunnel, under railway bridge, turn right signposted Vernon Pontoise to traffic lights, turn left for Vernon Pontoise: N15 to Pont de l'Arche & forward to join N154 to Evreux: N154 to Nonancourt: turn right to join N12 to Alencon & forward to Mayenne: join N162 to Laval: N171 to Craon, Pouancé, Chateaubriant & continue on the N171 until right fork onto D775 for Derval & Guémené Penfao.

No problems with picking up fuel both routes.
